Prescott Jazz Society provides a 'License to Thrill'
Join us on the 14th annual Juneteenth celebration at Arcosanti. Two full days of music include performances by vocalist Ray Brown Jr. , the Adams Family Quintet, the Rhythm Keepers, Harold Land Trio, Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor and Six Feet Band. Come out to see this wonderful weekend of performers and celebrate the emancipation proclamation act of 1865!
The whole family will enjoy live music as it fills the stunning architecture of Arcosanti and a beautiful canyon landscape. Don't miss the Saturday night highlight of a lively dance party under the Arcosanti Vaults. Special Sunday morning "Prescott Jazz Society Gospel Hour" with Minister Michael B. Cannon and vocalist Marilyn Carter of the St. Luke Ebony Christian Church. There will also be food and retail vendors, fine art, crafts, hiking, raffles, and games.

Admission is $20 per day; students $10 each; kids under 12 free.

Artist Bios
Ray Brown Jr. Son of Ella Fitzgerald and legendary bassist Ray Brown, Ray Brown Jr. grew up in an environment surrounded by talented musicians and found his own style in rock and roll and rhythm and blues. At age 10 he started learning piano and at 14 he was learning to play the drums. He has played with various bands in his adult life and as a solo artist. He surprises audiences who expect jazz with his versatile voice in either country or rock and roll tunes. He has released two albums, "Slow Down For Love" and "Committed From the Heart" which included songs that were both written and composed by Ray.
