The evening begins with a fantastic Italian dinner served under the colorful vaults on the edge of the mesa followed by the astounding virtuosity of accordionist/composer Nick Ariondo. Arcosanti is proud to welcome back Nick Ariondo, who exploits the accordion's dynamic range to orchestral proportions for a musical evening of spellbound virtuosity and international delights from Italy and beyond.

Nick Ariondo enthralled the Italian Night audience in 2010 with his unique style and returns this year to perform works by Piazzolla, Rossini, and Puccini, including Ariondo's Arcosanti-inspired compositions "Stella Notte", "Lucenta Sera." and “Arcosanti Fantasy” honoring Arcosanti's Paolo Soleri.

Back by popular demand, Nick Ariondo can be heard in the Oscar winning film “Life of Pi”, has appeared on-screen in the ever-popular hit “Bridesmaids”, has performed onstage with opera legend Placido Domingo, is a Double Grammy Award winner with the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra, became the first American to be awarded Italy’s Ancona Prize and has appeared on national television with violinist Nicola Bennedetti (CBS-TV) and Dancing With The Stars.  Ariondo has received 25 consecutive ASCAP awards for his compositions and performances as he continues to surprise audiences with his incomparable artistry.....
