Founded by jazz historian and performer Milton DeLove Cannon, Jr., Prescott Jazz Society incorporated in 1994 as a member-driven non-profit organization. PJS was developed as the professional entertainment component of the edu-tainment Cannon Academy of Performing Art, founded in 1993.  After more than 20 years of presenting the Prescott area with some of the greatest jazz musicians, Prescott Jazz Society continues to work to create the broadest appeal across language and ethnic barriers.
